- Show-Cause Notices to Be Issued to Officials and Revenue Staff Receiving Unsatisfactory Feedback
- CMO’s Salary to Be Withheld Over Default in IGRS Complaint Disposal
Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan has warned of stringent action against officials found negligent in resolving public grievances registered on the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal, emphasizing that timely and quality disposal of complaints remains a top administrative priority.
Chairing a review meeting of revenue cases and IGRS complaints at the Collectorate auditorium, the District Magistrate directed all departmental officers to ensure effective and citizen-centric grievance redressal. She made it clear that any laxity in handling public complaints would not be tolerated.
During the review, the District Magistrate ordered the issuance of show-cause notices to officials and revenue functionaries, including lekhpals, whose complaint disposal feedback had been rated unsatisfactory by complainants. She further instructed that departmental action be initiated against revenue staff found negligent in addressing public grievances.
“Complaint disposal should not be treated as a mere formality. The objective is to ensure genuine resolution and satisfaction of the complainant,” she said, stressing the need for accountability and transparency in grievance handling.
Reviewing the status of pending complaints on the IGRS portal, the District Magistrate also directed that the salary of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sant Lal Patel be withheld after his department was found to be in default regarding complaint resolution. She cautioned all departmental heads that indifference toward public issues would invite strict action under the rules.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of pending revenue cases. The District Magistrate instructed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars to conduct regular and effective hearings of long-pending revenue disputes and ensure their timely and quality disposal. She noted that expediting such cases would provide relief to citizens and enhance the efficiency of the revenue administration.
Additional District Magistrate Alok Kumar, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, and officials from various departments attended the meeting.
The review underscored the district administration’s focus on strengthening public service delivery, improving grievance redressal mechanisms, and ensuring greater accountability among government officials.
